Free FTP (created by The Software Group) is a File Transfer Protocol (FTP) application for uploading and downloading files and folders between user PC and an FTP site on the web.
The application is useful for web sites maintenance and publishing, uploading files, images, music, etc., for sharing files with coleagues, as well as for backing up files and documents into the web.
The Site Manager and the Connection Wizard help the user to go step by step from the beginning and get the Site connection established in a correct manner.
The application is set for easy operation, so user can rename, delete, or move files and folders, create or delete complete directories at both ends of the connection, local and remote, and as easy as being working on the local PC directories.
The multithread technology used by this program allows user to set multiple downloads or uploads (both ways). The application saves an up to date session log for maintenace purposes.
User can set the amount of retries that the application will attempt, as well as the time delay in between attempts, when setting the desired connection.
Drag and drop support enables user to 'move' files to be transferred either way.
